Out-of-network mental health benefits
While I am an out-of-network provider, many insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health coverage that reimburses 50% to 80% of session costs.
How it works:
You pay the standard session fee ($185) at the time of service.
Each month, I provide you with an itemized receipt called a Superbill.
You submit the Superbill directly to your insurance company for partial reimbursement.
Tip: Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask: "What are my out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health (CPT code 90837)?"

No Surprises Act: Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost to protect you from receiving surprise medical bills.
Under this act, if you are uninsured, or if you choose to pay for care without using your insurance (a.k.a. “self-pay” or “private pay”), you can get a “Good Faith Estimate" of what the expected charges for services will be before you get care — this includes psychotherapy services.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than what is written in your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate for reference.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Out of Network Billing
I do not accept insurance at this time. However, if you receive Out of Network benefits from your insurance, I can provide you with a superbill with the details needed for you to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier if applicable.
